The original Mr. Freezy’s was started in 2010 by our then 17 year old son, Tyler. He decided to start a sno cone stand the summer before his senior year at Birdville High School testing his entrepreneurial spirit. Tyler started with a trailer and later located a second location, the Super Sno Cones building that was the same location for 16 years and is now the Mr. Freezy’s location. We, Richard and Sherry, bought the second stand as a way to encourage and support him in this endeavor. Although Tyler is no longer involved in the business, he will always be Mr. Freezy! This season we asked family friends, Joseph and JaNae to join us in the business. You see, both of our families have children with special needs. We have Ryan, a 22 year old young man with Cerebral Palsy and a seizure disorder and Joseph and JaNae just adopted Ashley, a 10 year old with Angelman’s Syndrome. Mr. Freezy’s is now our avenue of providing for the future of these two young people who smile and constantly brighten the lives of the people they meet but will never be in a position to provide for themselves. We work Mr. Freezy’s for our kids!
The summer season is over so we are not open daily. We will open for Winter Sno Cones for the months of October through March. Open days and hours will be announced via FB or our private email/text system.
We close at 9 or when all customers are served. Weather closes us down on occasion such as when the temperature drops below 70 or thunderstorms. We work through and wait out most rain showers. The new awning will keep you dry during most rains and shade you during the sunny days.
